چکیده
Effects of different tillage management on the growth and yield maize were studied from early June to September 2017. The experiment was set up with three treatments: traditional shallow moldboard plow straw removal (MT), sub-soiling/ /sub-soiling rotation mulch (ST) no-till/sub-soiling/no-till retention (NT). soil compaction layers, plant height, chlorophyll content, above-ground biomass determined through practices. Results showed that NT ST treatments helped reduce compaction, had a positive effect root development, height content compared MT treatment. value in period under increased by 31.8 24.6%, respectively, 20.2 15.9% MT, respectively. size order > ST, maximum at 20 cm treatment, which 1007 kPa. Meanwhile, also maize. Compared dry weight plants for significantly 24.3 15.7%, grain 11.9 14.9%, respectively (P < 0.05). are effective measures improve structure soil, contribute development thereby increase yield. Maize (Zea mays L.).
Agrobacterium tumefaciens-mediated transformation is an effective method for introducing genes into maize. In this chapter, we describe a detailed protocol for genetic transformation of the maize genotype Hi II. Our starting plant material is immature embryos cocultivated with an Agrobacterium strain carrying a standard binary vector. In addition to step-by-step laboratory transformation proced...
متن کاملEffects of aluminum toxicity on maize (Zea mays L.) seedlings
Aluminum toxicity is one of the most deleterious factors for plant growth in acidic soils because over 50% of the world’s potentially arable lands are acidic. In recent years, considerable research has been conducted to understand the mechanisms of Al toxicity and tolerance in plants. This paper reviews the effects of different concentration of Al on plant shoot, root physiological parameters s...
متن کاملThe Effects of Spent Engine Oil on Soil Properties and Growth of Maize (Zea mays L.)
The effect of spent engine oil (SEO) on soil properties and growth of maize (Zea mays L.) was investigated. Five treatments (0.0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6 and 0.8 l/kg) of the spent oil were applied to soil in perforated poly bags with maize stands at four weeks after sowing. Soil analysis showed that SEO had no effect on both the pH and texture of the soil. Organic C, N and Mg in the contaminated soils i...

This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of titanium dioxide and titanium oxide foliar application during two growing stage on growth and forage production of maize during 2012 growing season in the research farm of Islamic Azad University of Varamin-Pishva Branch. The experimental design was randomized complete blocks arranged in factorial with four replications. The factors were includ...
متن کاملGrowth and Yield Response of Maize (Zea mays L.) to Different Rates of Nitrogen and Phosphorus Fertilizers in Southern Nigeria
The effect of twelve different rates of nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizers on growth and yield of maize (Zea mays L.) in southern Nigeria was evaluated between June and October, 2007. The results of the study showed that application of 120kgN/ha + 0kgP/ha and 60kgN/ha + 40kgP/ha significantly increased the growth of maize than other treatments. The application rate of 120kgN/ha +40kgP/ha signi...
